How to start preparation?
Now, it comes time and you have made the decision to enroll your child in kindergarten. Of course, you managed to communicate with his future nurses and teachers, visited the room where the child will now spend a big portion of his time, looked at the other children with whom the kid will now have to make friends and socialize. And surely you all liked it and it fits – otherwise place the child in daycare a good parent will not. You choose for your baby the most optimal place – now we need to prepare them to enter the garden.
Of course, the kid who goes to his first kindergarten, must have basic skills and abilities:
to be able to use a Cup and spoon, a potty;
to be able to shoes, to wear clothes;
to begin to speak (by the way, some gardens can refuse to take the child to a certain age and began to speak for these children there are special preschool institutions).
And, of course, a child who is going to go to kindergarten, must be healthy – do not expose to the risk of illness for your baby and other children, before going to kindergarten go through the necessary medical examination, consult with your pediatrician or family doctor.
If your toddler already knows how all of the above, but also completely healthy, then you can move on to the next stage of preparation for the first trip to the garden.
As recommended by many psychologists and specialists, several months before the first child will go to kindergarten, you should begin to accustom him to the mode of life he will lead in the garden. Many families are not practiced by any of the routine – the child wakes up and eats at any time want it. Don’t forget that in the garden will not be so, because it is necessary to carry out the work, which will accustom the child to the new regime.
The new regime of the day
To begin, find out what the schedule of life in the garden, in which you plan to enroll your child what time they eat, when they go out to play in the yard, at what time able to resume training when the child NAPs.
A few months before the departure to the garden, start to raise your child in the morning at that time, what he will have to stand up when he becomes a pupil of the garden. If your child is used to Wake up much later and it would be hard to adjust to a new mode, you can enter this schedule gradually – start with what you make daily alarm for 10-15 minutes earlier, so, gradually, day by day you will rise earlier and earlier until you start to get up at the right time.
Enter the house the same schedule that the child will be in the garden – he eats, walks and sleeps at the same time that he would have to do it in the garden. May such a day would be familiar and comfortable.
As for NAP – not all children used to sleep during the day, however, in kindergarten, NAPs is the norm. Explain to your child that not even wanting to sleep, it may have a little to lie in bed and relax.
As an example we give the order of the day in one of kindergartens of the city of Moscow:
With 7 am starts taking children to the garden. It lasts usually no more than one hour. At this time, the children have time to change clothes and playing with other children who came earlier. By the way, for many of them it becomes a kind of incentive to come into the garden early to catch a bus to play with friends before Breakfast.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. Breakfast begins. To last it for about 40-60 minutes. During this time the children have time to eat and go to the playroom to wait for the next phase of the day.
To 10 (sometimes 11) o’clock, the children begin to go out for a walk. Walking time depends on the time of year and the weather outside. The walk lasts at least one hour and again depends on weather conditions. Sometimes children downtime will be played in the premises.
Closer to 12 o’clock lunch begins. Usually lasts about 40 minutes, sometimes a little longer (depends on the appetite of the kids).
With the hour of the day and up to three passes NAPs. Many don’t like it, so ask their parents to pick them up right after dinner. The educators at this time, freely give children to parents.
After dinner sleep, around 15:30 is snack, and then go get ready for the street or the children go to the play area.
16:00 children play freely, walk and expecting parents who have to take them to half past six in the evening.
So, the day became stable, the child is able all that may be required in kindergarten – what’s next? How to take the first step to kindergarten?
The first day in kindergarten
It is desirable that in the first days spent by child in kindergarten, you were accompanied by your baby. Not all children quickly join a new team, some may be frightened by the abundance of new, unfamiliar people, begin to cry. Because the first day can cause the child to kindergarten in just one hour – let him hang around with their peers, will fall for their games, will review the situation, meet with a tutor. If the child does not show initiative, help him – introduce him with other children, try to come up with for them. The child must like the new world of kindergarten should interest him.
The next day in the garden you can stay a little longer and make their first attempt to leave the baby alone – let him be by himself for 15-20 minutes, let them understand that in the new environment he is not threatened and do not be afraid to be alone. In the subsequent week the child is in the garden not full day – otherwise he may start to miss you and worry because take him early. But when the child finally adapt to the new environment – it can be in the garden all day.
Be sure to discuss with the child what is happening in the garden – he talks about his games, first impressions, shares his experiences – so you will be aware of your child’s life, and can prevent the development of any fears associated with being in the garden, you can explain and tell your child that there is nothing wrong, talk about their memories of the garden, convinced you was interesting and fun. And, of course, discussing with the child his success in the garden, you will be able to be aware of developments there – you will know exactly what your baby nobody is offended, he finds a common language.
Proper preparation is a guarantee that your child will feel comfortable in new circumstances of life that his childhood will be happy and carefree.
